
School record falls for #15 Women’s Swimming in Day One at SAC Championships
Greensboro, N.C. —- The 15th-ranked Catawba College women's swimming team saw a record fall in one of the legs of its 800 Yard Freestyle Relay in the opening day of the South Atlantic Conference Championships at the Greensboro Aquatic Center on Tuesday night.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Danielle Meinema crushed a school record with a 1:50.58 opening 200 yard of the 800 Free Relay
- Ella Gutenwik, Fiona Byrne and Taylor Wilson rounded out the relay team that finished with a mark of 7:33.27 to finish second, just behind Wingate's 7:26.49
