#10 Men’s and #13 Women’s Swimming add more B-cuts, school records in Day Three of Fall Frenzy

Charlotte, N.C. —- The 10th-ranked Catawba College men and 13th-ranked women's swim teams added to their productive week at the Fall Frenzy on Saturday, adding five NCAA B-cuts and three school records.

 

HOW IT HAPPENED

PRELIMS

- Juan Diego Celis picked up a B-cut mark in the men's 200 Free, placing 15th with a time of 1:39.90

- Rowan Viles also added an NCAA B-cut mark in the 100 Breast with a mark of 56.46

 

FINALS

- Sydney Peterson reached an NCAA B-cut mark and set a new school record in the 100 Butterfly with a mark of 55.78

- Nazar Herashchenko recorded another NCAA B-cut mark, this time in the 200 Free with a 1:39.05

- Sydney McKenzie made another mark in the Catawba record book this season, setting the 100 Breast program best with a time of 1:03.37

- Marshall Wells became the third Catawba Indian to reach an NCAA B-cut mark in the 100 Breaststroke this season with a 55.29

- The Catawba 200 Medley Relay women's team of Ash Fortin, Mckenzie, Peterson and Marit Reckmann ended the night with another school record falling with a 1:43.24
