
#6 Women’s Tennis vies for back-to-back SAC Tournament titles after semifinal win over #43 Coker
Sumter, S.C. —- The 6th-ranked and top-seeded Catawba College women's tennis team will play for its second straight South Atlantic Conference Tournament title on Friday after it defeated 43rd-ranked and fifth-seeded Coker at the Palmetto Tennis Center.
HOW IT HAPPENED
DOUBLES
- Sofia Antolini and Rin Igarashi took care of business, defeating the 2nd-ranked Cobras doubles opponent 6-2, but it was Coker that won the doubles point
SINGLES
- Ami Miya earned a dominant 6-0, 6-0 win at #3 singles
- Anna Wise followed suit with a 6-4, 6-0 victory at #2s
- Vaishnavi Venkatesh earned a 6-0, 6-4 victory at #5s
- Mati Moretti clinched the match with a 6-3, 6-2 victory at the #6s match
- Lili Drukerova neared a victory with an unfinished 6-2, 5-3 result
