
#9 Women’s Tennis rolls to 11-0 with road win over Mount Olive
Mount Olive, N.C. —- The 9th-ranked Catawba College women's tennis team continued its program-record start to the season on Thursday, moving to 11-0 on the season with a 6-1 win over Mount Olive on the road in non-conference action.
HOW IT HAPPENED
DOUBLES
- Sofia Antolini and Rin Igarashi earned a 6-4 victory in #2 doubles play
- Anna Wise and Nika Dundovic helped earn the doubles point with a 6-4 victory at the #3s match
SINGLES
- Wise cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 victory at the #2 singles match
- Tina Gomes added a quick victory with a 6-4, 6-0 win at the #6 singles match
- Now-30th-ranked Antolini continued her undefeated start to the season with a 6-2, 6-2 victory against the top-ranked Trojan competitor
- Ami Miya claimed a pair of close sets with a 7-5, 6-4 triumph in #3s play
- Igarashi was the third to make a 2-0 day at UMO with a 6-4, 7-6 victory, winning the tiebreaker 7-1
