
#6 Women’s Tennis moves to 16-0 with win over Coker
Salisbury, N.C. —- The sixth-ranked Catawba College women's tennis team improved to a perfect 16-0 on the season with a 4-2 win over Coker, a top-half team in the South Atlantic Conference, on Wednesday at the Johnson Tennis Courts.
HOW IT HAPPENED
DOUBLES
- Ami Miya and Lilliana Drukerova earned a 6-3 win in #1 doubles, but it was the Cobras who took the other two matches to claim the doubles point
SINGLES
- Rin Igarashi sailed through her #4 singles match with a 6-0, 6-1 victory
- Vaishnavi Venkatesh earned a win at the #6 position 6-1, 6-2
- Miya moved up to the #2s match and picked up a 6-1, 6-3 victory
- Drukerova swept her #3s opponent 6-3, 6-2 to help clinch the match
