PREVIEW: #26 Women’s Cross Country prepares for Converse Invitational

Spartanburg, S.C. —- The Catawba College women's cross country team will travel to Spartanburg, S.C. this weekend for the Converse Invitational. The site is also host to this year's NCAA Division II Southeast Regional meet.

MEET NOTES

- Seven of the top eight teams in the region on the women's side are competing at the Converse Invite, in what could be considered a regional preview as Spartanburg will host the NCAA DII Southeast Regional meet in November

- Catawba is the two seed in the region heading into this weekend's action, just behind top-ranked Wingate

- Hannah Caudill will run her first race after claiming her first individual title at the Catawba Fleet Feet Invite on Sept. 7, helping her earn South Atlantic Conference Runner of the Week honors

- Two-time reigning SAC Runner of the Year and perennial region title contender Madi Clay finished right behind Caudill in her opening race of the season

- Natalie Almond rounded out an all-Catawba top three two weeks ago, completing the 5K in 19:13.53
