
Three school records fall at 2024 Raleigh Relays
RALEIGH, N.C. -- Three school records were broken this weekend by Catawba Track and Field who was back in action at the highly touted 2024 Raleigh Relays hosted by NC State. The three-day event concluded Saturday afternoon.
Erick Ramirez kicked the weekend off breaking the school record in the 5000m event. He would run a time of 14:10.65 in the event. Teammate Ousamma Ajala would also secure a new personal best in the event running a 14:29.95.
Madi Clay would break the school record in the women's 10000m event placing twelfth overall with a time of 34:07.09.
Mikayla Jones broke the school record Saturday night in the women's 5000m. The junior ran a 16:41.11in the event.

Efe Egberi placed 45th running a 12.19 in the event

Winfred Porter ran a time of 10.50 to claim eleventh place

Javi Gomez-Wilson placed 21st overall with a distance of 13.92m
CJ Brown placed 31st with a jump of 12.86m
