Inagawa, Miya sweep SAC WePlayed Tennis Players of the Week

Rock Hill, S.C. —- Catawba College freshman Ryosuke Inagawa and junior Ami Miya swept the WePlayed Sports South Atlantic Conference Men's and Women's Tennis Players of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.

Inagawa, a freshman from Aichi, Japan, went 3-0 on singles this week, including in a crucial singles match to give #19 Catawba the edge for its first win in program history over 7th-ranked Wingate, improving them to 7-0 in SAC play.

Miya, a junior from Yokohama, Japan, was unbeaten on the week to help 7th-ranked Catawba improve to 15-0 on the season including the first regular season victory over 22nd-ranked Wingate on the road on Friday.

The Catawba teams look to continue their unbeaten start to league play this week with a home match against Coker on Wednesday before traveling to Lenoir-Rhyne on Saturday.
