
League-leading #17 Women’s Soccer continues SAC play at Anderson Saturday
Anderson, S.C. —- The 17th-ranked Catawba College women's soccer team takes its shutout streak on the road this weekend, traveling to Anderson University for a 5 p.m. start on Saturday as they continue South Atlantic Conference women's soccer action.

SCORIN' MORIN
- Kylie Morin netted two goals in the Catawba Indians' 4-0 win over Coker on Wednesday night at Frock Field for the team's annual Breast Cancer Awareness Game
- With the brace, Morin moves into a tie atop the SAC for goals scored this season with six
- Morin moved to the attacking midfield position this season after All-American Sydney Jimmo, who led the league in goals scored last season, graduated
TREE TROUBLE
- Bree Ehmer assisted on Morin's second goal, increasing Ehmer's her point streak to four games
- The Melbourne, Fla. native has recorded a point in every game this season except in the scoreless draw versus Montevallo on Sept. 14
- The reigning SAC Freshman of the Year is tied for third in the SAC with five goals scored and is tied atop the league lead with 13 points
SHOTS ON GOAL SHORTAGE
- While Ashley Hughes has recorded three straight shutouts, the defense deserves credit for those clean sheets as well, as Catawba has only allowed three shots on goal in that stretch
- Catawba has allowed the fewest shots on goal this season in the SAC with 16 allowed through eight games; only Newberry (3) has allowed fewer goals than the Catawba Indians so far in the SAC this season
CONSISTENTLY CONSISTENT
- This week marks the 36th consecutive United Soccer Coaches national poll that has included Catawba, dating back to September 2021
- The streak nearly triples the program's previous longest streak, when it appeared in 13 straight polls across the 2004 and '05 seasons
