
PREVIEW: Women's Golf travels to Keystone State for The Intercollegiate at Nemacolin
FARMINGTON, Pa. – The Catawba College women's golf team sets its sights on The Intercollegiate at Nemacolin held at Mystic Rock on Oct. 21 and 22, the final challenge of the fall season.
Mystic Rock, one of two golf courses on the grounds of Nemacolin in the Allegheny Mountains, has been included among the best public courses in America; Golfweek once rated it No. 1 in Pennsylvania. From 2003-06, Mystic Rock played host to the PGA Tour with the 84 Lumber Classic. Over the weekend, the 7,526-yard course was estimated to have extremely fast greens with a stimp rating of roughly 13.5.
Mary-Paige King continues to pace the Catawba Indians with a 76.8 stroke average and a team-high 22 birdies. Maddy Vogan has averaged 80.7 shots per round while Rachel Carlson holds a mark of 82.0 in the trio's nine rounds of action. Emily Rosenschein is having the best season of Catawba's rookies on an 83.2 stroke average as Valentina Moran rejoins the lineup with an 85.3 per-round standard.
