
Jones secures spot at Nationals as Track & Field split compete at the Lee and Gamecock Invitationals
Catawba Track and Field competed this weekend at the Lee Flames-Fast Break Athletics Invitational hosted by Lee University and the Gamecock hosted by South Carolina. The weekend was highlighted by Junior Mikayla Jones and Sophomore Madi Clay. Jones ran the third fastest time this year in DII after winning the 10000m run at the Lee Invite with a time of 34:32.17. She joins Clay who holds the second fastest time in the nation who have secured national spots. Clay won this weekend's women's 5K with a time of 16:56.64.
Catawba has a strong outing with multiple personal best and top ten finishes on the weekend.
