
#21 Men’s Tennis rolls to win over Lees-McRae
Salisbury, N.C. —- The 21st-ranked Catawba College men's tennis team started the week off a victory, rolling to a 6-1 win over visiting Lees-McRae on Monday at the Johnson Tennis Courts.
HOW IT HAPPENED
DOUBLES
- Ryosuke Inagawa and Sebastian Zabala raced to a quick 6-0 win in their #3 doubles matchup
- Mateo Berne and Marcos Castares earned a 6-2 win in #1s play to clinch the doubles point
- Agustin Mastri and Luca Bergonzi made it a sweep with a 6-2 win in #2s
SINGLES
- Mastri zoomed to a quick 6-0, 6-0 win in #2 singles play
- Thomas Kostka earned a 6-2, 6-1 win in the #3 position
- Bergonzi made it a personal 2-0 day with a 6-2, 6-1 over the #4 LMC opponent
- Luca Accomando earned a 6-2, 6-2 win at #6s
- Inagawa earned Catawba's sixth point of the night after a 6-3, 6-2 win
