Riley Hill named to All-Conference Second Team, All-Freshman team
Rock Hill, S.C. —- Catawba College freshman libero Riley Hill was named to the South Atlantic Conference All-Conference Second Team along with the All-Freshman team, the league office announced Tuesday morning.
Hill, a Salisbury native, ranked second in the SAC with 4.76 digs per set. She earned the league's Defensive Player of the Week honors in back-to-back weeks as Catawba finished the regular season on a six-match win streak to post their best record since 2016.
She earns the first All-Freshman team selection for Catawba since Rachel Gallup was picked to the team in 2012. Hill now holds the distinction as the first All-Conference selection under head coach Brenn Ferguson.
Catawba ended its season on Monday night, battling third-seeded Tusculum to five sets on the road, but the Catawba Indians ultimately fell in the decisive final set.
