Women’s Track and Field’s meet record-setting DMR highlights Day One of SAC Championships

Winston-Salem, N.C. —- The Catawba College women's track and field team completed Day One of the South Atlantic Conference Championships on Saturday at the JDL Fast Track, highlighted by the team's Distance Medley Relay team winning the league title with a conference meet-record time.

 

HOW IT HAPPENED

TRACK

- Hannah Caudill placed sixth in the Women's 5K run

- The women's distance medley relay team of Emer Mcglynn, Charity Davies, Eden Barnwell and Natalie Almond won the SAC title in the DMR with a new meet-record time of 12:16.55

- The team finished over seven seconds ahead of runner-up Lenoir-Rhyne

 

FIELD

- Efe Egberi finished as a close runner-up in the women's long jump with a mark of 5.66 meters
