
Catawba Track & Field completes final day of the Raleigh Relays
Raleigh, N.C.—Catawba Men's and Women's track and field's teams wrap up 3-day meet that the Raleigh Relays hosted by N.C. State.
Freshman Madison Clay competed in the women's 1000 and finished in 32nd place with a time of. 35:49.82.
In the women's 400m Samantha Payne had a personal best and school record with a 54.48. She finished in 8th place.
Skylar Payne set a season best in the women's 400m hurdles with a time of 1:05.29.
Natalie Almond competed in the women's 1500m and ran a time of 4:40.99.
In the men's 100m senior Rashaun Noble finished in 17th place with a time of 10.77. Teammates Barja Walter & Nazir Reid also competed in the event and ran times of 10.93 & 10.94 respectively.
In the men's 800m, Everette Rhymer finished with a time of 1:51.80.
Junior Raina Andrews represented Catawba in the women's 800m and finished with a new personal best time of 2:14.69.
In field events, senior MeKayla White took to the women's long jump pit and set a season best mark of 5.75m.
On the men's side of the event, Javier Gomez-Wilson , finished in the top 20 with a leap of 6.54m.
Chandon Smith took on the men's 400m hurdles and finished 22nd with a time of 55.88 to set a new season best mark.

Both teams will head to Highpoint, N.C., to compete at the HPU Vertklasse Meet from March 31-April 1.
