
Tennis bounces back with pair of wins over LMU
Harrogate, Tenn. —- The Catawba College men's and women's tennis teams went on the road and defeated South Atlantic Conference foe Lincoln Memorial on Thursday afternoon, improving to 4-1 and 3-2 in the league play, respectively.

Catawba women 6, Lincoln Memorial 1
- Ami Miya and Rin Igarashi kicked off doubles play with a 6-2 win in #1s
- Veronika Poliakova and Sofia Hernandez Mera followed suit with a tight 7-6 victory
- Isidora Zivkovic and Tina Gomes made it a clean sweep with a 6-3 win
- Miya made it a 2-0 day with a 6-2, 6-3 win
- Vaishnavi Venkatesh found the win column in #3s with a dominant 6-0, 6-1 win
- Poliakova clinched the win for Catawba with an 8-3 win
- Hernandez Mera added her second win of the day with a 6-1, 6-1 win
- Igarashi finished the match off with an 8-3 win

- Edoardo Cecere and Ryan Little improved their impressive play in doubles this season with a 6-3 win
- Mateo Berne and Marcos Castares picked up a 6-2 win in #2 doubles
- Tyler Juergens and Paul Dekester made it a clean sweep with a dominant 6-0 win in #3s
- Cecere made it a 2-0 day with a 6-1, 6-4 win in #1 singles
- Berne added a 6-1, 6-4 win in #2 singles
- Little clinched the win with a 6-3, 6-2 win in #5 singles
