
Ehmer nets two as #19 Women’s Soccer rolls to 5-0 win over Limestone
Salisbury, N.C. —-- Catawba College sophomore Bree Ehmer scored two goals, as the 19th-ranked women's soccer team cruised to a 5-0 win over visiting Limestone on Sunday afternoon at Frock Field.

INDIVIDUAL LEADERS

- Lillie Rusher dished out two assists on corner kicks
- Maria Rayburn also assisted
- Ashley Hughes notched the shutout with two saves in goal
HOW IT HAPPENED
FIRST HALF
- Ehmer put the pressure on early with a shot on target in the third minute
- Rusher's corner kick in the fourth minute found the head of Ehmer for the opening score
- Darbo netted Catawba's second goal in the first 10 minutes of the game action off an assist from Rayburn in the 10th minute
- Catawba got a couple of shots off the rest of the half, but Limestone was the only one to get a shot on target, which Hughes saved in the 43rd minute
SECOND HALF
- Catawba returned the pressure on the Limestone net in the 50th minute when Kylie Morin forced the Limestone save
- Catawba forced three more Limestone saves before breaking through on Havens followed up her own rebound for a score in the 64th minute
- Less than two minutes later, Ehmer fired a left-footed rocket across the box to push the lead to 4-0
- Rush headed home her first collegiate goal in the 68th minute for Catawba's third goal in a five-minute span
- Ella Matthews and Ellie Schock had good looks to expand on the lead, but Limestone made the save
