
Women's Soccer Ranked #21 in United Soccer Coaches Preseason Poll
KANSAS CITY, MO -- The Catawba College women's soccer team will begin the 2022 campaign ranked No. 21 according to the United Soccer Coaches Preseason Poll which was released today (Aug. 2).
Catawba College had a season for the record books last year after breaking 16 different program marks. The Lady Indians boasted the nation's top defense last season and allowed just five goals over 21 matches played for a 0.23 goals against average. Catawba also posted 16 shutouts in those 21 matches which led all of Division II.
Head coach Nick Brown returns most of his core players from a year ago including All-Americans Katie Beck, Hannah Dunn, and Sierra Davis.
The women's soccer team will play three exhibition matches before opening the season against the University of Tampa at home on August 25th at 7:00 p.m.
