Women’s Golf lands first WGCA All-Scholar Team GPA recognition
CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The Catawba College women's golf team was named a top performer in the classroom by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) in its All-Scholar Team GPA Award announcement Tuesday afternoon.
During the 2023-24 academic year, the Catawba golfers posted a 3.752 GPA as a program which ranks 13th in Division II. Catawba is one of two teams representing the South Atlantic Conference as Lincoln Memorial filled the 25th spot. The honor comes in addition to Mary-Paige King, Maddy Vogan, and Emily Wellspeak being tabbed to the WGCA All-American Scholar Team released in early July.
The WGCA All-Scholar Team GPA Award is given to the women's collegiate golf program with the highest collective average team GPA. The top 25 teams with the highest team GPA for Division I, Division II and Division III, and the top 10 teams for NAIA are also honored.
