Shane Prescott enters his 18th season as Assistant Coach with Catawba Softball in the spring of 2025.

The Catawba Indians once again shined at the dish in 2024, ranking third in the conference with 457 hits, an average of over nine per contest. In his second season in Salisbury, Prescott helped lead the team to an upset win at top-ranked North Georgia in February, the program's first-ever win over the number one ranked team in the country before taking both ends of a doubleheader with 18th-ranked Lenoir-Rhyne before the Bears' run to the national semifinal.

Along with head coach Brady Tigert, Prescott helped Catawba to its best turnaround in Catawba Softball program history with a 21-win improvement from 2022 to 2023. With Prescott on staff, Catawba won the SAC Tournament and made an appearance in the Division II Regional tournament in 2015 and 2016.

Prescott came to Catawba from Pfeiffer University where he was with the Falcon program for six seasons and was the head coach for four years.

A 1995 graduate of Randolph Community College, Prescott earned an associate degree in applied science. He graduated in 1999 from Blue Ridge Healing Arts Academy with a license to practice massage and bodywork therapy.

Prescott resides in Concord with his wife, Jennifer. They have two daughters, Adda and Emme.
