Lyerly named Softball’s Interim Head Coach after change in leadership

Salisbury, N.C. —- Catawba College Athletics has announced a change in leadership of the Softball program, department officials released Tuesday morning. 

Allie Lyerly ('10) will serve as the interim head coach during the 2025 season. 

A 2024 Catawba College Athletics Hall of Fame inductee, two-time All-Region selection and 2007 SAC Freshman of the Year, Lyerly most recently served as an Assistant Coach for the Catawba Indians.

Catawba Softball will kick off their 2025 campaign in Spartanburg, S.C. on Saturday, Feb. 1, taking on Glenville State and Lynn. They make their home debut on Tuesday, Feb. 11 versus Lees-McRae.
