
Softball swept by LMU in Sunday twinbill
Harrogate, Tenn. —- The Catawba College softball team made the trek west to Lincoln Memorial University on Sunday afternoon, but was unable to pick up a win in the South Atlantic Conference doubleheader.

- Savanna Balderston singled to lead off the sixth
- Hales' RBI single got the Catawba Indians on the board
- Gallagher followed up with another RBI base knock to score Tucker and pull within 5-2
- LMU scored five in the bottom of the sixth to take the mercy-rule victory

- Gallagher's two-out RBI singled cut LMU's lead to four

- A two-RBI double in the fourth returned LMU's lead to six runs
FIFTH INNING
- Hales belted a two-out homer in the fifth, her fourth in the last five games
- The Railsplitters answered with an RBI double in the bottom half
