Cross Country/Track & Field posts 10 student-athletes to CSC Academic All-District teams

Greenwood, Ind. —- The Catawba College men's and women's cross country and track & field teams saw 10 of its student-athletes named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC)'s Academic All-District teams, the organization announced Tuesday.

On the men's side, Brannon Burns, Seth Caudill, Seth Drake, Stefan Lauchner and Tanner Smith were recognized, while Natalie Almond, Hannah Caudill, Madi Clay, Sydney Cockerham and Haleigh Washington were named on the women's side.

In order to be eligible for the CSC Academic All-District team, the student-athlete must be at least an academic sophomore with at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA while ranking inside the top 50 at the Cross Country Southeast Regional meet or any track and field event.

The Catawba Indians earned the maximum number of All-District selections with ten. Clay will advance to Academic All-America consideration, which will be announced mid-July.
