PREVIEW: Men’s Cross Country set for Regional preview at Converse Invite

Spartanburg, S.C. —- The Catawba College men's cross country team is set for their first action on the road this season at the Converse Invite in Spartanburg, S.C. The site is also host to this year's NCAA Division II Southeast Regional meet.

MEET NOTES

- Catawba enters the meet as one of three top-five ranked regional teams making the trip to Spartanburg this week

- Top seed Wingate and 3-seed Anderson will be the other top contenders at the Converse Invite this weekend

- Tanner Smith is coming off his second consecutive individual victory at the Catawba Fleet Feet Invite

- Oussama Ajala finished second at the home meet on Sept. 7, also earning a top-12 placing in last year's Southeast Regional meet

- Will Lyons rounded out an all-Catawba top three at the Fleet Feet Invite with a time of 26:06.44; the five next finishers in the race were also Catawba Indians
