60m photo finish highlights Men’s Track and Field’s final day at SAC Indoor Championships

Winston-Salem, N.C. —- Catawba sprinters Miles Stephens and Win Porter went 1-2 in the 60-meter dash, both posting top-five marks in the country on Sunday at Day Two of the South Atlantic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships. Catawba's men placed fifth overall.

 

HOW IT HAPPENED

TRACK

400 Meter Dash

- Tyler Johnson earned a fourth-place mark in the 400, posting a 49.67

 

60 Meter Dash

- Miles Stephens earned the SAC title in the 60-meter dash with a meet- and school-record 6.65

- Win Porter finished 0.02 behind him for an all-Catawba 1-2 finish; Stephens and Porter hold the fourth- and fifth-fastest times in the country in the 60

 

FIELD

High Jump

- Namaurion Koontz earned a sixth-place finish in the men's high jump, reaching 1.94 meters

 

Triple Jump

- Javi Gomez-Wilson was the SAC runner-up in the men's triple jump, posting a mark of 14.65 meters
