Win Porter earns WePlayed Sports SAC Indoor Track Athlete of the Week

Rock Hill, S.C. —- Catawba College senior sprinter Win Porter was named WePlayed Sports South Atlantic Conference Indoor Track Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday morning.

On Sunday, Porter represented Catawba at the 2025 USA Track & Field Indoor Championships, aired live on NBC. Porter ran a personal-best time of 6.68 in the 60-meter dash in Staten Island, finishing 13th in a meet filled with professional athletes and some of the top collegiate athletes in the country.

Porter's mark currently stands in a tie for sixth in for qualifying at the 2024-25 NCAA Division II Indoor National Championships in Indianapolis March 13-15.

Porter and the Catawba Indians return to the track this weekend, heading to the 2025 SAC Indoor Track and Field Championships at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C. on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 28-March 1.
