Stephens picks up WePlayed Sports SAC Men’s Track Athlete of the Week

Rock Hill, S.C. —- Catawba College senior Miles Stephens earned WePlayed Sports South Atlantic Conference Men's Track Athlete of the Week honors, the league office announced Tuesday morning.

Stephens impressed in his Catawba debut, taking home the individual victory in the 60-meter dash at the season-opening JDL Early Bird Invitational, besting three runners in the final from Division I Charlotte.

The North Greenville transfer's mark of 6.67 broke the nine-year old meet record and set the current fastest 60-meter time in all of Division II so far in the young season.

Catawba is back in action after the new year, returning to JDL for the Flat is Fast meet on Sunday, Jan. 26.
