
#29 Men’s Tennis falls to #11 UIndy to close Scenic City Invite
Chattanooga, Tenn. —- The 29th-ranked Catawba College men's tennis team fell in a tight 4-3 battle against 11th-ranked UIndy to close their play at the Scenic City Invitational in Chattanooga over Spring Break.
HOW IT HAPPENED
DOUBLES
- Thomas Kostka and Alessandro Valletta earned a 6-2 win at #2 doubles, but the Greyhounds earned wins in the other two matches to take the doubles point
SINGLES
- Mateo Berne earned a straight-set 6-2, 6-3 win at #2 singles
- Kostka made it a 2-0 day with a 4-6, 6-3, 1-0 win in a tiebreaker to take the #3 singles match
- Valletta did the same in the #6 match with another tiebreaker victory 6-4, 1-6, 1-0
