Vecchi-Ramello earns United Soccer Coaches All-Region nod

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Sophomore forward Bautista Vecchi-Ramello collected his third postseason honor for the 2024 season with a placement on the United Soccer Coaches All-Southeast Region Third Team per Tuesday release.

With a team-high eight goals in addition to a pair of assists, Vecchi-Ramello is the 26th man in Catawba history to be selected to an all-region team. The Argentinian found the back of the net against seven different teams, featuring a five-point brace in just 28 minutes against Virginia State and the late game-tying goal against Carson-Newman.

The South Atlantic Conference was represented by 17 student-athletes from eight programs, led by league champion Limestone with five honorees.

In his two seasons as a Catawba Indian, Vecchi-Ramello has tallied 36 career points on 14 goals and eight assists to garner All-SAC picks in both campaigns. Vecchi-Ramello was also named to the USC Academic All-District Team in November.
