#2 LeMoyne tops Men’s Lacrosse in Baltimore

Baltimore, Md. —- The Catawba College men's lacrosse team fell 16-4 to the second-ranked LeMoyne Dolphins on Sunday in a neutral-site matchup at Homewood Field in Baltimore. The Dolphins improve to 2-0, while Catawba drops to 0-3 on the season.

Matt Mitchell scored three goals on eight shots in the contest, while Joey Lindner scored the team's other goal. 

LeMoyne opened up the game firing on all cylinders, scoring each of the six goals scored in the first quarter. The Dolphins led by as much as 8-0 before Lindner scored on an assist from Jackson Braswell to put Catawba on the board. LeMoyne led 9-1 at the halftime break.

Similarly to the first half, the Dolphins scored the first six goals of the second half, taking a 15-1 lead at the 9:34 mark of the fourth quarter. Mitchell scored three of the game's final four goals. Mitchell now leads the team with four goals on the year.

Catawba looks to bounce back this Saturday, when they return to Shuford Stadium to face Montevallo in a noon start.
