Men's Golf receives 2023-24 GCAA Outstanding Team Academic Award
NORMAN, Okla. – The Catawba College men's golf team was named a recipient of the Outstanding Team Academic Award presented by the Golf Coaches Association of America for the 2023-24 season on Tuesday, earning All-Academic status. The announcement follows Luke Nelson's Cobalt Golf All-American Scholar selection last week.
To be eligible for All-Academic Team recognition, a program must have at least a 3.0 collective GPA. Presidents Special Recognition is given to squads that post a 3.5 GPA or better, an honor that Catawba scored in 2022-23.
The organization awarded 240 teams nationwide including 47 Division II members. Including the Catawba Indians, three South Atlantic Conference squads earned the award as Coker and Newberry also earned GCAA laurels.
