Bio
Ethan Kahn enters his first season as Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at Catawba College, rejoining the coaching staff after serving as the Director of Basketball Operations and Video Coordinator from 2021-23.
Kahn spent the 2023-24 campaign at Bemidji State University where he was the Assistant Men's Basketball Coach.
In his first two years at Catawba, Coach Kahn helped with day to day operations, coordination of team travel, team meals, scouts, practice schedule, summer camps, and the developmental program. During the 2022-23 season, Kahn was the head coach of the Catawba Red developmental team.
Kahn came to North Carolina from Northern Arizona University where he served as a Student Assistant for four years while also being the Head Student Assistant for three years. During his time at NAU, Kahn was responsible for video operations, maintaining stats for practice, food ordering, practice setup, equipment, the nutrition station, scout presentations, and day-to-day operations. He also helped organize and run camps.
Kahn’s coaching career started early; at the age of fourteen, he was coached the Girls and Boys Basketball teams at Pardes Jewish Day School in Scottsdale, Ariz. He then became the student assistant at Horizon High School in Scottsdale, helping with all levels of the program.
Coach Kahn graduated from Northern Arizona University with a major in University Studies with double minors in Political Science and Health Wellness. While at Catawba, Kahn obtained his master's degree in sport management.
