Beach Volleyball closes season at SACC Tournament

Dallas, N.C. —- The Catawba College beach volleyball team closed its 2025 season at the inaugural South Atlantic Conference Carolinas Beach Volleyball Tournament hosted at Gaston College on Friday, falling to Carson-Newman and Erskine.

HOW IT HAPPENED

- Morgan Childress and Christina Knotts played a very tight match with the Carson-Newman #2s pair, falling 18-21, 21-19, 11-15 in a thriller

- Sidney Kettelkamp and Ragan Ball pushed the Eagles' #4 pair to the brink in set two, but fell 21-23

MATCH TWO | Erskine 4, Catawba 1

- Knotts emerged victorious over her sister Paige in the final match of her career, defeating Erskine's #2 pair 21-19, 21-16

- Lauren Bodell and Taylor Vecchione fell in a heart-breaking opening set 20-22 before dropping the second set as well

- Kettelkamp and Ball played close, falling in a pair of tight ones, 18-21, 16-21
