Beach Volleyball faces setback at Carson-Newman Weekend

Jefferson City, Tenn. —- The Catawba College beach volleyball team faced its final tune-up before the South Atlantic Conference Carolinas Tournament next week at the second of two Conference Weekends at Carson-Newman, but fell four times by a similar 4-1 margin.

 

MATCH ONE | Carson-Newman 4, Catawba 1

- Morgan Childress and Christina Knotts earned a hard-fought 21-18, 21-17 victory in the #2s match

 

MATCH TWO | Tusculum 4, Catawba 1

- Knotts and Childress followed up with a 2-0 day after a thrilling comeback victory, 12-21, 21-18, 15-13 against Tusculum's #2 opponent

 

MATCH THREE | Erskine 4, Catawba 1

- Sidney Kettelkamp and Ragan Ball picked up a 21-17, 19-21, 15-9 victory in the #4s match

 

MATCH FOUR | Emmanuel 4, Catawba 1

- Knotts and Childress capped a 3-1 week with a victory over Emmanuel's #2-ranked team, 20-22, 21-13, 15-10
