Beach Volleyball takes doubleheader over St. Andrew’s

Salisbury, N.C. —- The Catawba College beach volleyball team pushed its winning streak to four on Tuesday, sweeping St. Andrew's at home in collegiate beach volleyball action. The Catawba Indians improve to 10-10 overall.

Christina Knotts and Raythcelle Miranda got things kicked off with a 21-12, 21-18 win in #1s. After losses in #2s and #3s, Molly Mather and Kennedy Kimbro picked up key wins in #4s with a come-from-behind 18-21, 21-10, 15-8 win and Maggie Marable and Devyn Berg clinched the match with a 21-18, 21-18 victory.

Catawba took match two by a final tally of 4-1. Knotts and Miranda won their second match of the day 21-15, 21-18. Morgan Childress and Kelcie Love won a three-set match 21-16, 14-21, 15-7, Lauren Shepherd and Megan Halford took a win in #4s to claim the match and Marable and Berg finished the day off with a 21-19, 21-18 win in #5s.

Catawba returns to action at home this Friday, celebrating Senior Day with a tri-match with Gaston College and Wake Tech starting at 11 a.m.
