College of Charleston, EKU down Beach Volleyball in Saturday doubleheader

Charleston, S.C. —- The Catawba College beach volleyball team dropped a pair of matches on the road at the College of Charleston on Saturday, falling to the host Cougars 5-0 before also dropping their match with Eastern Kentucky 5-0.

Devyn Berg and Maggie Marable were very competitive in their match against College of Charleston, falling a pair of close games 21-18 and 21-19. Molly Mather and Kennedy Kimbro also pushed their first set to extra points, but ultimately fell 22-20, 21-14.

A pair of Catawba teams put up a fight in their match with Eastern Kentucky as well, as Morgan Childress and Kelcie Love took their final set to 21-19 and Berg and Marable fell narrowly 21-17, 21-15.
