Bio

Terra Jefferies James, who goes by Tasha James, is an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Catawba College. Her primary sports responsibilities are Football and Softball. James began as an Intern at Catawba College in August of 2020 and cared for Women's Development Soccer, Softball, and Football at the time. She was promoted to her current role as Assistant Athletic Trainer in 2022.

James earned her master's degree in Exercise Science from California University of Pennsylvania. She earned her bachelor's degree in Athletic Training from Wingate University. During her time with the Bulldogs, she worked with Women's soccer, Men's Lacrosse, and Football teams. James also worked with Cuthbertson High School during this time. 

 James is a BOC-certified athletic trainer (ATC) and licensed in the state of North Carolina (LAT). James is from Hickory, NC, and holds certifications in First Aid and CPR, Performance Enhancement Specialist from the National Academy of Sports Medicine, and Speed Specialist from the National Association of Speed & Explosion. James is also a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA).
